Youth Guidance is a faith-based agency that provides residential treatment services for adolescents who are referred for placement by the Oregon Youth Authority.
Position(s): School Liaison: full-time position at Charis Ridge. Job Description: Charis Ridge serves up to ten boys (ages 13-17) and is located in Troutdale. The School Liaison position involves overseeing the educational component of the treatment program and facilitating a positive working relationship between Charis Ridge and the schools which our residents attend. Boys are placed at Charis Ridge to receive counseling and behavioral rehabilitation services. This position will provide excellent experience for those who have a heart for at-risk youth and who are interested in the field of education.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday. Specific schedule may vary somewhat according to needs of the youth. During the summer months, this position will convert to the position of Vocational Coordinator.
Qualifications: Preferably having completed Bachelor’s degree in the area of teaching, Looking for a mature person with good organizational skills, patience, strength of character and good relational skills.
Wage: Negotiable, with consideration for education and experience. Full-time positions (32 hours or more per week) include benefit package of health and life insurance, vacation/sick/holiday pay and more. Time Available: Mid-July, but will begin interviewing immediately.
