ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TEACHING POSITIONS

More than seven years later, literally thousands of recent college graduates in Washington and Oregon have begun their professional career with CampusPoint Each year, we now fill more than 1,000 local, Seattle and Puget Sound area job opportunities with local students and recent graduates.

Since our founding in 2002, we’ve been looking for a great way to help local recent graduates connect with high quality job opportunities located overseas and in 2009, we begin!

The CampusPoint International Program (CIP) currently offers access to overseas English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching positions located in South Korea. These positions last one calendar year. No past teaching experience, or teacher education is required. Your job will be to teach conversational English to students in public schools.

Job Description:

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education hires for the public schools in Incheon and offers a fantastic program. Incheon is located just outside of Seoul, and is connected to the Seoul subway system, providing a teacher with all the benefits of Korea’s largest metropolis without dealing with the congestion and crowds of the big city. Incheon teachers receive informative training and introduction to Korean culture, teaching and lesson preparation.

The Rewards (there are many including:)

A standard fulltime working schedule (40 hrs/week), Monday through Friday with weekends off.

•10+ Korean public holidays off and about three weeks paid vacation.

•Your own single apartment (typically a studio) - it’s not fancy but it will be free with no roommates (you will have to pay for utilities).

•Free (reimbursed) airfare to Korea, and provided you complete your one year employment contract, free airfare back home. •You’ll be expected to stay in South Korea for one calendar year. As a reward for doing so, you’ll be given a “bonus” of one month’s extra pay.•Health insurance coverage while in Korea.

•Explore a new part of the world and save $10,000 (depending on exchange rates) or more for when you return home.

•Ample opportunity to connect with other CIP participants from Washington and Oregon working through the International Program in Korea.

Basic Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in any major from an accredited college or university •No criminal history whatsoever including DUIs•Be in good health•Be a native English speaker (English is your first and primary language)
