<p><font face="Times New Roman">You are invited to participate in a program of spiritual and personal growth and ministry skill development through the Internship Program of First Presbyterian Church.  Interns will support the ministry of the congregation to children and youth by assisting the Director of Child/Faith Development, Pastoral Staff, and lay leadership teams in developing and implementing ministry programs for children and youth.</font></p>
<p><font face="Times New Roman">Two internship positions are currently available: Intern for Children and Intern for Youth.</font></p>
<p><font face="Times New Roman">Demonstration of a strong commitment to Jesus Christ, desire for hands-on learning and ministry experience, and the completion of a high school diploma/GED required.  Experience working with children and/or youth strongly preferred.</font></p>

<p>Work with chief Operating Officer to implement “Web 2.0”, guerrilla marketing campaign to drive awareness, lead generation and customer acquisition. Campaign will include: </p>

<li>Submit to PR distribution sites and local media outlets.</li>
<li>Investigate and suggest other vehicles to generate PR awareness.</li>

<p><strong>Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategy</strong></p>

<li>Write unique HTML page titles for all LogicBox web pages.</li>
<li>Set up a map of site for CommunityWalk.com and then embed it in LogicBox &#8220;about us&#8221; page.</li>
<li>Investigate who&#8217;s linking to our competitors and e-mail them asking for a similar opportunity.</li>
<li>Submit LogicBox site to dmoz.org</li>
<li>Create key word page and add to site.</li>
<li>Install Google Analytics</li>
<li>Setup CrazyEgg heatmapping</li>
<li>Investigate and suggest other SEO techniques.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Blog Strategy</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Investigate relevant 3<sup>rd</sup> party blogs for comments and participation.</li>
<li>Create LogicBox Blog using Wordpress or other service.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Social Media Strategy:</strong></p>

<li>Create Google Maps, Yahoo Local, Yellowpages.com, and Google Base listings.</li>
<li>Investigate and join social media sites for web-based (SaaS) software interest groups.</li>
<li>Make slideshow / movie of product and submit to YouTube and other sites.</li>
<li>Write how-to article for work.com</li>
<li>Try to get links from wikipedia.org and other wiki sites.</li>
<li> Investigate and suggest Linkedin strategy, Facebook Business Page and Twitter presence.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Intern Required Skills: </strong></p>

<li>Knowledge of Web 2.0 properties and marketing techniques.</li>
<li>Basic HTML and web site maintenance skills.</li>

This internship is designed to provide interested individuals with the opportunity to experience a fast-paced and dynamic political environment while learning policy and office processes, providing operational support, and practicing constituent and customer services. As experience is gained, Council Office staff will assign administrative, operational, and research responsibilities on important issues facing Metro as a government and an agency. Projects could include event planning, agency sponsorship coordination, legislation and policy development, meeting management, office logistics management, and interim roles when Council Office staff are on leave. <li>Develop promotional material for the ERC</li>
<li>Recruit two volunteers to assist job seekers with computer literacy and resume writing</li>
<li>Attend regular meetings of the ERC Advisory Council</li>
<li>Take minutes of the Advisory Council and disseminate information to partners</li>
<li>Prepare monthly report to the Advisory Council</li>
<li>Review all grant proposal budgets with MCS Regional Business Manager, prior to submission</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

The responsibilities of </font><font face="Consolas">each internship will correspond with the needs of the campaign and </font><font face="Consolas">with the intern&#8217;s interests. The internship categories are as follow:</font></p>

<p><font face="Consolas">Communications: Monitoring blog and media postings, aid in assembling </font><font face="Consolas">communication materials for grassroots events, update the campaign&#8217;s </font><font face="Consolas">new media utilities.</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">Grassroots: Update campaign volunteer lists, recruit volunteers for </font><font face="Consolas">campaign events and voter identification activities, manage phonebanks </font><font face="Consolas">and doorbelling outings.</font></p>
<p><font face="Consolas">Coalitions: Research issues based and community organizations that </font><font face="Consolas">could aid the campaign, attend and assemble events for issues based </font><font face="Consolas">and community organizations, coordinate with grassroots staff to </font><font face="Consolas">transfer coalition groups into grassroots volunteers.</font></p>

You will have the opportunity to learn basic store operations, gain management skills, and develop sales techniques and customer service skills, as well as increase knowledge in a variety of key business topics such as profit &amp; loss, inventory control, and human resources. Interns will also be exposed to S-W professionals in a variety of functional areas. You&#8217;ll gain insight on a career in outside sales by traveling with a Sales Representative and spending structured time with your District Management team.</font><font face="Times New Roman">To join our Intern Program, you must have demonstrated leadership ability, as well as work experience in customer service and/or sales. Bilingual candidates welcome. </p>
<p>Basic Requirements:</p>
<p>- Must have a valid Driver’s License<br />
- Must be enrolled in an accredited four year college or university<br />
- Must submit to a background screening which may include driving, credit and criminal history<br />
